Indira Mahavidyalaya, Kalamb is premier educational institution, has its rich history almost from four decades. The establishment year of our parent trust Dr. Yeshawant Moreshwar Donde Sarwajanik Trust is 1974 and Indira Mahvidyalaya is 1983. The college is located on Ralegaon Kalamb road, near Shri Saraswati Temple, two & half away from Kalamb city, surrounded by natural beauty and hills.

Our visionary leader great litterateur of Maharashtra late Dr. Bhausaheb Mandavkar founder president of the institution wanted the people of this rural, tribal & undeveloped area to have higher education with open access system. The college has magnificent past & efforts are been made for its bright future. Hence, perspectives are consciously planned so as to promote the progress of the institution. Indira Mahavidyalaya is one of the prominent centre of Higher Education in Vidarbha region and offers a blend of academic, cultural, and skill-based education in numerous disciplines of humanities, science and commerce helps students to expand their learning by providing enriching experiences and opportunities in the view of NEP 2020. It encourages students to strive for excellence and innovation and to serve the community on a broader spectrum. The institution keeps research and innovation at the crux of its goals and is working to cultivate and promote the student’s passion in the field and subjects of their choice through multidisciplinary learning. The college is recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) & 12 B of the UGC Act 1956.  The Institute has been imparting education in the faculties of Arts, Commerce and, Science at Graduation level while post-graduation programme in five subjects. Research Degree programme in three disciplines.

The beautiful lush green campus pervades through 10.6 acres of panoramic milieu with rainwater harvesting reservoir, adequate playgrounds, multifaceted gym and yoga centre.  The dynamic management coupled with the dedicated Principal. A competent and experienced staff in teaching departments recognized for their contribution and received awards. Well equipped and recognized research laboratories, Dr. Bhau Mandavkar Knowledge Resource Centre ornamented with variety of volumes and automation supported by ventilated spacious reading cabins. Our Institutional annual magazine Kadambini was awarded for three times by Parent University. The institution is participatory of NIRF and earned ISO Certification. Green and Energy Audits and initiatives for alternate energy resources are the credentials of institution. Various extensive activities are undertaken and best practices of the college are well aligned with national policies and local priorities. The institute is module of intellectual, cultural, and social intent who have served the nation and humanity variously. The commitment is not just teach, but to educate, not just to mold the minds but to develop generations.
